CAMP DATES ARE BASED ON THE SCHOOL CALENDAR OF THE NESHAMINY SCHOOL DISTRICT. CAMP WILL NOT BEGIN UNTIL THE SCHOOL YEAR IS OVER, and CAMP WILL END BASED ON THE START DATE OF NESHAMINY SCHOOL DISTRICT IN SEPT 2010.

  • (Special Camp at Hoover This Year For Grades 5-7)

10 Weeks (June 21-August 27) 

Hours: 9:00a.m to 4:30p.m. with FREE Extended Care

(before and after camp 7:30a.m-9:00a.m. & 4:30p.m.-5:30p.m.)

 

  • Serving the Neshaminy School District and surrounding communities since 1989. 

  • Kindergarten through Grade 7

  • One field trip and AT LEAST two pool visits per week  with a diverse and enriching activity schedule to supplement the off campus excursions.  

  • Two Healthy snacks based on USDA standards everyday!

  • Mature, experienced well-trained counselors. All of our counselors are over age 18.

  • Summer book Reading Club

  • Fun Activities and Events

  • All staff have completed background checks in child abuse and criminal record clearance

  • We transport students in vans or a school bus.  School bus is driven by a CDL licensed driver.

  • All staff certified in First Aid

  • Staff receives training on safety, supervision, teaching students social skills and a variety of other skills

  • Parents are welcome to come on field trips or visit the sites at any time

Heckman Camp:

 

Supervisor: Chris Swingle.

Experience: Supervisor at Pearl Buck 2 years

Camp Counselor 5 years, Supervisor at camp 2 years

Chris is finishing his School Age Professional Credential this Spring.

 

Lower Southampton Camp:

 

Supervisor, Shannon Murphy

Experience: Supervisor at Lower Southampton last year. Shannon has been a Camp Counselor for 3 years and has a BA in Education and is a certified Elementary Education Teacher.

 

Hoover Camp for grades K-4

 

Supervisor: Tyler Frezza

Experience: Tyler was supervisor last year at Hoover and the year before at Lower Southampton Camp.  Tyler has a BA in Education and is a certified Elementary Education Teacher and is pursuing a Master's degree.

 

Hoover Camp for grades 5-7

 

Supervisor: Chuck Inverso

Experience: Chuck worked at Everitt Camp last year and continues to work in

NKC Before and After School Program. Chuck will have his AA in Physical

Education by summer and will continue on to his BA in the Fall.

 2:15- 2:45    Snack

 2:45- 4:00    Activity Period IV

 4:00- 5:30    Extended Hours- Free Play in Activity Areas, or outside
